The kidster passed!
Oh yeah!! I have in my household an official high schooler. He also passed on Honor Roll. If he can pass again next year on Honor Roll I’ll owe him a tattoo! I better start saving now as I can see the determination in him already! I’m amazed at his math score. Intermediate Algebra… his average never dropped below a 90 until his final and his final average for the class was 90!! His tutor had a lot to do with this as she has her masters in math, but she didn’t let him slip on the math work. He had to do it and do it right. I believe she got through to him somehow.
Have you noticed the heart is making a big come back in jewelry fashion? I’ve been looking for some heart pendant jewelry. I think I may have found a few that might make their way into my home

I love how people display flags or Americana and I’ve decided that I’d like to start taking pictures of how people display the American colors. This is also a great photo to leave on my blog for the weekend…. Happy Birthday America. See you all after the long weekend!

Working on a ton of pictures!
I’ve taken several pictures over the past few weeks and I just haven’t had much time to sit and upload them to the computer. This evening I took my camera out into the yard to see what I could capture and when I couldn’t stand the mosquitoes any long I came back in the house and decided to take a look at what I had captured as I was super excited about getting a few pictures of flowers with rain still on them. Well to my surprise there were 120 pictures on my camera….. ummmm opps. I had no idea I had taken that many shots over the past few weeks. Silly me.
Here we go with just a few…

Finally one I love but I wish it wasn’t so bright. The sky was funny that day… Family swim

Many.. many more to come over the next few days. Oh and of course there will be some new headers up top made out of some of the pictures as well as some editing being done at Picnik.com

Ho Hum
It was Mikey’s last day of school/tutoring. Ran into an old friend… always nice to see someone from the past. Not much going on around here other than a lot of day dreaming…. and sock knitting. Tomorrow Mikey’s tutor is taking all the kids she tutored this year out to lunch…. Red Lobster! I’m actually looking forward to Wednesday. Mikey’s plans… sleeping in. My plans…. it’s going to be 85… I’m swimming up at camp!
Guess I’m kinda bored … suppose I could go look at golf trophies
I haven’t really taken many pictures lately. Maybe sometime this week I can get out for a ride. The weather is suppose to be beautiful… great for picture taking.

Happy Summer Solstice
I’m quite tired tonight. Thought I got a good nights sleep last night but must be it was a light sleep. Anyway.. Happy Summer Solstice! I had hopes of siting around the campfire last night to welcome the Summer Solstice in at I believe it hit here 1:43 am, but rain kind of put a damper on that celebration.
We celebrated Fathers Day up at camp with a big meatloaf dinner. It rained almost all weekend, but it was nice spending all that time in the camper. I finished another sock and started on the match to it. This pair will make 3 pair so far to date. I’m only doing basic socks with self striping yarn, but I’m tempted to do my first fancy pair and enter them in the State Fair. It would mean free admition to the fair for me and a good reason to spend a lot of time in the womans building. I noticed there were a lotof sock entries a few years ago… the only ones who got anything other than Honorable Mention were done with non-self striping yarn and had some fancy stitches…. must find a proper patten first. Then I’ll decide. I can usually knit a pair in a weekend. I have time to work on this and get it done in time. I’d also love to enter some of my photos….we’ll have to see about that. Socs and photos mught be too much for my first time entering anything.
So…. Friday at physical therapy as I was headed back into the changing room I decided to hit the scale just for the heck of it. When I first start physical therapy I had hit the scale… well to my suprise I’ve lost 20 lbs!!! I have cut back a little on what I eat which I normally do when the weather turns warmer anyways, but exercising in the pool three days a week has helped!! I might even look into this new product Lipovox. I’ve heard good things about it.
Tomorrow is Mikeys last day of school/tutoring. No more running to the village everyday. His tutor is taking all her kids to Red Lobster on Tuesday and then on Wednesday I plan on celebrating by heading to camp and hitting the beach!! It’s going to be 85 here and sunny. A great day to float. Mikey wants to stay home as it will be his first offical day of Summer vacation.
