So yeah….

Once again I’m back here saying it’s been forever since I posted. Well… *shrug* gonna try this again. We’ll see how long it lasts but I’m going to give it my best shot.

I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do with this blog and I think I’ll try to do a bit of everything but I’d like to focus on my jewelry making.

I’ll have to hop on here from my computer and look at links and pages to make sure everything is still in working order. I’m using my Kindle Fire and even though I love it it is a bit limited and I don’t want to poke around in coding with it.

Oh my

Ive once again neglected my poor blog. That’s going to change starting today!! No more paid blotting. That totally took the fun out of blogging. The extra cash here and there was nice but it averaged out to about $50 a month…. ok it was a few piazza take-outs but my blog was heading on a direction that I bated. Ill be bringing back content that I want to write about, crafts, cooking, my Pinterest…. and of course the Today Is: stuff… speaking of…. Today Is: September 3, 2012 Labor Day – The first Labor Day was held celebrated in New York City on September 5, 1882 and was started by the Central Labor Union in New York City. In 1884, it was moved to the first Monday in September where it is celebrated today. Labor Day quickly became popular and one state after another voted it as a holiday. On June 28, 1894, the U.S. congress voted it a national holiday. Ill be back tomorrow with perhaps a new look and some much needed updating in the backroom!

Where to start

Things have been so hectic around here! Not even sure where to begin or what order things are in anymore. This last half of the school year has been one thing after another. Mostly running to friends houses and concerts up on Syracuse University Hill. We’ve had the Ball, the Keep the Ball rolling party, a tux rental, drivers test which did not go well and getting more driving practice in. Tonight was Tech Fest at school… he set up Mac Mini with a demonstration on the product. The marching band was playing for something on campus and there was also a few sports games going on. Sure glad he didn’t take up playing the saxophone because it would have been hard to be in Tech Fest and march at the same time.

I’ve been being a bad diabetic, but my A1c is with in the good range still but I want to bring in back down to the lower end of that range again. Even though the Dr said I was ok I still want it back down and I’ve GOT to get back to the gym!

So along with getting back to the gym I have to blog daily and work on jewelry too. Things are settling down a bit for me… hope they continue!

Spring Spiffy-ing

So we’ve slowly started some Spring cleaning. We took out our HUGE kitchen table (thank you Sherm!!) and put up a small outside table in the kitchen with folding chairs. Yeah it looks a little out of place, but it sure opens the kitchen up more and these chairs wont hurt Sherm’s back. I’m still debating if I want to do a little more rearranging, but we’ll see if these chairs pose a problem in the middle of the room. One awesome thing… Miss Lucy can’t get on the table and the cat hasn’t tried it at all either. I don’t mind the cat so much but the dog on the table was a bit much.

There’s  few other things we’re going to do around here too. Little things that don’t cost too much because we’re going to put a new deck on the house. One thing I’m going to do is paint the kitchen.. the wall board in mobile homes can be so dated looking. The living room is just fine wall wise, but I’d like to get some ceramic switch plate covers for in there as well as for the rest of the house.

Our back room is another story…. we may just empty it out and use it for storage as the roof leaks and heats up so badly in the Summer.
