The other day while my sister and I were in our local Wal-Mart we spotted some salad dressing that we’ve been wanting to try for some time now. Ramona’s From right here in Baldwinsville, NY! How cool is that?! We both picked up a bottle of her Sweet Country Italian.. well let me tell you this is one fantastic salad dressing! I’ve never had a sweet Italian dressing before and at first I was a little hesitant about the concept of a sweet Italian, but after opening it and trying a little on my finger I can see all kinds of uses for it other than just on salads… on my salad it was fantastic… don’t get me wrong, but this can be used in so many other ways too. As a chicken marinade and on the site for the dressing they list a pasta salad that I want to try. I also make a kidney bean and cheddar cheese salad that I drizzle a little bit of Italian dressing into along with a smidge of mayo… ohhh I know now this will make that salad pop! I was putting a bit of sweet pickle relish in it for a touch of sweet… bet I don’t have to do that with this dressing.

Camp is open!!!

Our hair smells like a camp fire and the dead mouse has been removed from the corner in the kitchen. (Thanks Sherm!!) We’re heading back up there tomorrow to hopefully install our new fridge. We also saw a really cool sight… an owl chasing another bird. I can’t wait to site around the fire at night and listen to all the night sounds.

Ok off to do some research on a new awning…. we need a new one as ours bit the dust in a storm last year. We went without one for the rest of the season last year, but it just didn’t seem right. That awning makes the camper feel bigger and sort of puts another room on it even if it’s open.
